Black Metal.

As seen as we seem to have similar tastes, at least in some areas, I'd say that they are. I'd suggest starting with either their latest, Om, or their previous full-length, 'n Crugu Bradului, personally. One can't go wrong with either release, really.

Yes we do, so I will check it out.

So I want somebody to tell me whether the German band Dawnfall is worth hearing. I found this used cd of theirs called 'Drei Raum' at a record store and supposedly this album is really 'kvlt' and highly sought after and I guess it was rereleased by Supernal music in 2002. I could only find one review on it and it wasn't very helpful. I'm thinking it could be a really amazing hidden gem, but I think most likely it is probably total shit.

It's a worthless piece of shit bootleg of rough ideas of what was supposed to be their second album. Don't waste your time on that album.

can someone tell me what the difference between Mirovozzrenie and Weltanschauung is from nokturnal mortum?

and which is the better version. I was only able to find Mirovozzrenie so i ended up picking that up. but, i want to know if Weltanschauung is also worth getting..

If you're complaining about Wedard's production values then you're obviously not listening hard enough or are just an outsider to black metal in general.

I guess I'm an outsider then :goggly:

Onto other news:

19.12.2007 - Norwegian authorities grant Gorgoroth
rights to King and Gaahl

Norwegian authorities at Patentstyret (Norwegian patent office) have made the verdict on the dispute over the further use of the trademark and logo "Gorgoroth". It has been legally determined that King and Gaahl retain the rightful ownership and use of the name and logo, now and in the future.

King and Gaahl will not give a detailed public statement on this verdict however they have both remained confident this result would indeed be the final conclusion.

Any third parties who use the name Gorgoroth will from now on be met with legal prosecution.

Gorgoroth, King and Gaahl, will not continue to work with Regain Records given their disloyal acts concerning Gorgoroth and are currently carefully choosing a new label for the release of their next full-length album.

King and Gaahl are now focused on making music for the next album and with planning some very special shows for 2008. As previously announced, Gorgoroth will headline at Wacken Open Air.

^ I was tempted to pick up Gorgoroth's Ad Majorem Sathanas at the mall a few nights ago, I may still eventually get it, Carving a Giant is a good song, thier early classic black metal music with Pest and Hat I didnt like as much though.

Thank you very much, sir. I can always count on you. I already spent my money on a Popol Vuh album anyway. Fuck overhyped "cult" shit.

Black Metal isn't my favourite style, but there are some amazing bands, and albums... Some examples:

- Dimmu Borgir (PEM, DCA, ISD)
- Darkthrone - almost everything sounds great
- Marduk - World Funeral, Plague Angel, Rom 5:12
- 1349 - Hellfire (I must check the others);
- Deathspell Omega - everything
- Satyricon - Now, Diabolical

Sao Paulo has a very strong Balck Metal scene, with decent bands and releases.

Malignance, I need some more raw Black Metal. I'm talking more specifically about early second wave material, stuff like early Graveland, Ungod, Master's Hammer, Root, etc. Bands with a heavy focus on riffs, yet still with that second wave approach, almost between the first and second wave. Do you have anything like this to recommend me? Preferably stuff that's actually obtainable.
