Black Metal.

Hell Symphony is their best album, but Zjeveni is great too (as is The Temple In The Underworld, the rest isn't Black Metal).

Root is a phantastic and pretty unique band. 'The Book' is my favourite, although all their albums are great.

the video of 'Hrbitov' is a must-see

I like what I heard from Absu, a few songs I've heard from them, but mainly The Stone of Destiny and Deathcrush, I love how Absu did Silvester Anafang as the intro to Deathcrush on the same track.

Which Nokturnal Mortum album is the best to start with out of 'Goat Horns' and 'To the Gates of Blasphemous Fire'?
Ive heard Gates of Blasphemous fire compared to emperor's 'Anthems', is this an accurate description?

I wouldn't go for 'Goat Horns' if I were you, for me the instruments sounded cheap and synthetic, but I always favored the more organic, but raw releases, like 'To the Gates Of...', 'Lunar Poetry' or 'Nechrist'. These three are the heavier ones, which I would suggest starting with.

If you like Viking Metal then you would dig Weltanschuaang, even though I personally didn't like it, not my thing.

Thanks. They dont sell 'Weltanschuaang' on amazon, and 'Lunar Poetry' is £14 which is pretty expensive for an album so i think i will probably go with 'To the Gates..'.

Is Drudkh worth checking out? I havent been able to download anything by them so i dont know what they sound like.

Yes

Start with
Forgotten legends
this is their best release imo.

blood in our wells is my second favorite by them. it has more of a well produced sound to it.
.

For the guy who mentioned Ruins of Beverast, I posted about that a few pages ago. Unlock the Shrine is good. It doesn't sound too much like anything. Some parts sound influenced by Xasthur, and at other times there are outwardly folky bits. Lots of ambient sections, maybe too many.
