Cannibal Corpse are about as brutal as a seahorse at a hippie convention.

One of my favourites is Exhumed - Anatomy is Destiny
 
I don't listen to a lot of brutal death metal, but the ones I do enjoy are:
Suffocation - Effigy of the Forgotten
Immolation - Close to a World Below
Incantation - Onward to Golgotha
Death - Leprosy (Probably the best of the lot, but I wouldn't necessarily lump it in as being "brutal death")
Cryptopsy - None so Vile
Fleshcrawl - Descend into the Absurd
Obituary - Cause of Death

That will do for now.

Miasma - Changes
Grave - Into The Grave
Incantation - Diabolical Conquest

All are brutal in the sense of the word.
 
I wouldn't call Obituary and Death Brutal

Undertakers - Vision Distortion Perversion
Spawn of Possession - Cabinet
Infester - To the Depths in Degradation
Molested - Blod Draum
Abaddon Incarnate - Dark Crusade
Man Must Die - Start Killing
Despondency - God on Acid
Pyrexia - Sermon of Mockery
Angel Corpse - The Inexorable
Venereal Disease - Sworn to Hate
Hour of Penance - Disturbance
Suffocation - Pierced from Within
Reincarnation - Void
Banished - Deliver Me Unto Pain
 
Most of the bands mentioned in this thread aren't exactly "brutal death metal" per se, but who am I to be a genre nazi this fine evening!

I am also a big fan of bands such as Blood Red Throne, Exmortem, Ingurgitating Oblivion, Immolation, Vile etc, but they're not really brutal DM in my book.

Disgorge (Mex) - Goremassacre (actually a split w/CBT, so only like 4 songs, but easily some of the thickest, heaviest, nastiest metal ever)

that's the album that really got me into metal.

i used to listen to nu-metal and i heard that and fell in love. i haven't looked back after hearing that.
