Death Metal

I think you have it backwards. Nile are bottom of the barrel death metal.

Not our fault your ears are made of vaginas...

Now to something different:

"Tampa, Florida based death metallers Morbid Angel have issued the following update about their drummer undergoing back surgery:

"World Management and Morbid Angel would like to let the fans know that rumors about Pedro Sandoval's back surgery are in fact true. Pete has suffered for a long time with a deteriorating disc problem. He was in daily pain and needed to have this done. He has recently been treated by a Laser Back Surgery specialist in Tampa Florida. He is currently in rehabilitation and doing well. Pete is part of our family and the band¹s History and we all wish him well and a full recovery. Unfortunately this type of injury, subsequent surgery and rehab cannot be rushed and it will take ample time for him to hopefully be back behind his drums again and out on tour with Morbid Angel".

"The band is moving forward on their next recording with Tim Yeung. Currently the guys are in rehearsals in Tampa putting their finishing touches on the songs for the New album, which is slated for later this year with subsequent touring world wide."

Cant fucking wait for this:kickass:

Checked out a couple of tracks from The Vile Conception. Wasn't too bad but didn't really interest me enough to keep going.

Immolation is a band that takes obscurity to the next level in ways that other bands can't possibly accomplish unless they were called The Chasm.

Also yes Incantation is also great. Onward to Golgatha is a very atmospheric, chilling, and neck breaking album. Quite long but worth it, its a classic.

Both bands are just great tbh

Regardless, Hour of Penance is the shit under Niles boot.

Nile = fucking awesome :kickass:

Fuck yeah, long time coming and I'm hoping it will be worth it. After all this time they should have crafted some kind of ground breaking death metal masterpiece.

I'm really loving Immolation's newest one still, but I don't know any of their earlier work, are any of the other albums as good as/better than the latest? I've checked out a bit of the first one and it seems kind of mediocre.

Check out Close to a World Below.

Good read. I've always found it surprising that a band like The Chasm never finding more success within the metal scene, but I guess it's because they've never chosen to follow trends that emerged within it. Quite possibly my favourite band ever. :kickass:

I've tried to get my metal friends into the Chasm but it never works. I don't know what their goddamn problem is. The Chasm writes the riffs to end all riffs. Why would any metal fan not like them?

There's only a few metalheads in Perth who would give them the time of day. I remember I was the only one excited about the new album on the Western Australian metal forums, either no one had heard of them, or had no decent input about them.

Then again, it's trendy to like synthetic tech death bullshit.
