Death Metal

Somehow I've missed CC every time they've been here. They were my first death metal band, and continue to be one of my favorites, so I immediately bought VIP tickets. Highly looking forward to Aeon as well. Behemoth I could give or take honestly.

Pyrexia rules, especially live. SoM is one of my all time favorite albums, I absolutely need to pick that up.

If I remember correctly, I didn't mind Alterbeast. Nothing fantastic, but not horrible. Just average tech-death. I'll have to give it another listen to confirm or refute that memory I guess, verdict to come later hahaha

Alterbeast might have the worst vocals ever. I'm not like ITP and masturbate to the guitar. If the vocals, guitar or drums are bad then so are the band from my point of view.

Actually didn't mind Alterbeast more than most tech death, but I can't listen to tech death for more than 30 seconds without punching something so idk.

Not bad, i'll have to give it a more thorough listen later tonight. Liked what i heard so far minus some of the vox.

edit: Vox sound pretty similar to TBDM and i never hear you guys complaining about it when talking about them.

Both bands suck donkey dick. Kinda funny the chick I'm talking to wears these bands shirts like exclusively.

anybody got some good recent-ish prog death recommendations?

edit: like ive been thinking of something along the lines of Obscura's Omnivium

Hannes Grossmann's band is a must. Check out both Beyond Creation albums and Autotheism from The Faceless.

Also Muenzners doing his own shit as well so you might want to give that stuff a shot.

also check out some older stuff like Martyr and Quo Vadis .. great bands.

Beyond Creation's newest album is prety fantastic. Also check out Atheist and Martyr. Some of the best prog-death out there, though you might already know them.
