Also, i dont know if you guys missed it but i clearly said "some older stuff" when referring to Martyr and Quo Vadis. Anyway, most people already knew that either of those two bands haven't released an album in over 10 years. But the main reason i namedropped emis because they dont get the recognition they deserve in the tech-death world.

Nice! I did not realize they had a new album out. From listening to the first track it sounds like exactly what Im looking for.
I only know Unquestionable Presence from Atheist, which is pretty awesome. I don't know Martyr, have to check them out.

Elements is Atheist at their most progressive/experimental. Such a good album!
I'd personally say start with their first .... but maybe you should start off with their latest and move backwards. Their newer stuff is closer to what you're looking for.

I didn't really like autotheism. some cool parts every now and then, but I didn't like the clean vocals and just idk, something about it.
