"hell" - as accoding to the OT & NT....
tartaros - a dark/black place where Satan is to be thrown into, but no humans.
sheol - hebrew word for hell that is equivalent to hades, defined as an abode for the dead, or simply, grave.
hades - see sheol.
gehenna - In the valley of Hinnhom, a place where garbage, dead animals, people, etc would be burned.
The term "hell" as used by farmers hundreds of years ago: A hole in the ground. Farmers would bury their potatos in hell for the winter.
