Do you think crime comes with its own punishment?

Ha
The only thing that varies is the age, and then not much.
EDIT: Except achrisk, who's just weird.

Yes.

No.

I tend to feel guilty about things, so I imagine if I ever committed an actual crime I'd beat myself up over it. However, that doesn't concern me nearly as much as the thought of actually going to jail or some shit.

No, I value my freedom and my money. I have no desire to be jailed or fined.

You do realise that has nothing to do with crime coming with its own punishment, right? Jail and fines do not qualify as innate punishments associated with crime.

I know... I was saying, the guilt associated with crime alone would not be enough to deter me. Threat of buttsecks would be.

Good book

I actually find it boring, but maybe because my English class has been a bunch of civil rights stuff ever since black history month. I dunno if my teacher is trying to make me feel guilty or not. I have nothing to feel guilty about, my ancestors did nothing to black people.

Yeah but I already learned about the civil rights movement a million and one times. But whatever, I suppose its better than learning vocab I will never use and stupid parts of speech.

What?

Would you rather learn about something that happened in the past, and will probably never happen again, or about something which could be very useful when writing a personal statement or job application?

The world revolves around language. The past is the past, though.

I know plenty of long words. Like pneumoultramicroscopicsiliconvolcaniconiosis. I can even say it. I have no problem with that, but I hate memorizing stuff that I know I will probably forget.

No, I don't think I will ever use that word in my life unless someone asks me what the longest word I know is. But generally long words make someone sound educated or like a bombastic tool.

They make you a smarter person in general, and helps your understanding of most other subjects, speaking from my own experience. People hire smarter people.
