Doom Metal

NO WAY!

Pink is a fucking masterpiece.

Smile is still pretty fucking good. Its #1 on my top of 2008 and I sure it wont move. I love the randomness.

Pink is good and all but it isn't even the best of Boris. It has nothing on Flood, Akuma No Uta, or Rainbow.

To be honest the Boris album I've listened to most of all recently is Sun Baked Snow Cave. It is such an excellent album. At first I thought Merzbow would ruin it but upon multiple listens I've come to love the entire composition. The noise is kind of - refreshing in a way.

Yea, Flood is my all time favorite album along with Turn On The Bright Lights, by, yes, Interpol. Flood is truly a perfect album. Its amazing how Boris can craft such simple yet effective albums.

Sun Baked Snow Cave is ok. I do like how intense it is but it lacks in the sense that it does not have any "moments" like Flood or Pink does.

He talks about how he finds classic Metal albums boring and how my taste is irrelevant because I allegedly only listen to Metal, but other than that, no, not really.

I think they are black metal also but he is fucking absurd to say that drone is not doom than. It is a direct evolution, or devolution, of the genre in its slowest form.

Drone doom is doom. Drone itself, however, isn't. Sunn, Earth, Moonn, Boris, Melvins (they had a drone EP), and Black Boned Angel certainly are doom.

I don't think drone is doom necessarily. Drone as a genre has many roots laid in various other genres, doom being one of the major ones.

Drone is fucking awesome btw.
