I'm surprised that beaten and abused rehearsal tapes from the early to mid 70s that were never even remotely intended to be released in any capacity at the time don't really sound all that super-de-duper.

Goddamn, avoid Bedemon like the plague, it is incredibly underproduced and worthless. Classic my ass, there is no excuse to be that primitive. Even makes Hellhammer and Bathory's early releases sound good in comparison.

I have to admit, I did not think it was anygood what with the crappy album art of When the Kite String Pops but Scream of the Butterfly is catchy as hell.

Okay, so basically the new Boris record is very mediocre. It does not even come close to being anywhere as good as anything released this year. Massive fail for them. I cant believe this does not keep with the style the were developing on records like Vein and Pink.

I should really look into this album again. It seems to get almost universally excellent reviews but the song I heard off of it didn't initially come across as anything special.

To my shame I have never heard Burning Witch. However, Jamie Sykes (drums) went on to drum with The Enchanted, who I thought were (are ?) fucking great.

Though not doom.

All the songs are boring and have nothing interesting at all. Pink was and will always be their best record of all time along with Floods. I just want them to make another badass stoner doom record.
