Edwards e-al-128

You can get a new one for 1000 dollar (734 euro)

...and what about customs and shipping fees?
Ask AlexiWildchild, what it costs all in all! It's about 1200€, you can't get it cheaper.
I have paid almost the same, when I got it.

no i didnt, i play handcrafted :headbang:
so thats why i used "in my opinion".. Edwards is suposed to be cheaper production of ESP's for those who can affort originals or LTD,thats what i heard and for me and other millions cheaper asian production = bad...noones perfect so you can get things right if im wrong couse sth in your avatar told me you play it :)

You cant have an opinion on which guitar is better if you never played it...

Edwards is sort of a cheaper version of ESP, but only for the Japanese market and they are made in Japan (just like ESP). LTD's are also cheaper versions of ESP, but made in Korea or Indonesia.

Correct. :)

The Edwards guitars are built in the same "halls" as the ESP's, you know, by the same guys. In Japan, there aren't ESP Standard Series, only Custom Shop. So, Edwards = ESP Standard for Japan. I can't explain that very well.. :D

And yeah, most of the Edwards guitars are better than LTD's.

Correct. :)

that's right! ESP Standard Series is just for sale in Europe and everywhere else besides the US and A ;)

In Japan there are only custom shop models and the original series (which are also build in the CS) sold.
They don' have LTD in their shops. Edwards is there "cheap" production line, but better than LTD, because they are build in the same halls as ESP Standards Series, as "alexiwildchild" already said before.

I have an Edwards and a SV and I can defiantly say that the Edwards is really close to the SV. I doubt that a Ltd is better than an edwards :Smug:

So many people are wrong, edwards is a Japan only cheaper production of ESP that is in fact better quality than LTD... It's been said before and im saying it again.

Yeah, Navigator is above ESP as far as I know. Schecter also belongs to ESP. There are some more I think.

By just looking at the specs, it seems that LTD and Edwards are generally the same... Is this more a matter of quality of assembly?

Navigator is kinda different in models/style..

and from the Schecter website FAQ:

"In response to the numerous inquiries and speculation on our forum regarding the relationship between ESP and Schecter Guitar Research, we feel it has become necessary to clarify the matter. Schecter Guitar Research is a wholly owned subsidiary of the ESP Company Limited of Japan, and was acquired in the early 1990' s. However, the two guitar companies operate as totally separate entities, in separate locations, with different management & personnel. Issues such as product design, quality control, customer service, marketing and pricing are decided independently."

Yo.. has anyone ever been able to get hold of an Edwards Alexi model in the UK, without having to take a rather lengthy trip to Japan?

Edwards is ESP, its just the japenese versions, well as far as ive read, they do look better, but i cant find where to get them in America.
