EPIC QUESTIONNAIRE THREAD

Your favourite punk album of all time is really an album of songs by punk bands being covered by a rather burnt out thrash metal band?

Fair enough, but I just think it's really random.

Ouch.

Yeah.. Idk. I don't listen to a lot of punk albums. Mostly singles. I find punk gets repetitive if I listen to it for a full half an hour.

Emo was originally (and still is to my mind) short for emotional hardcore, so yeah it was obviously always a subgenre of punk music.

Edit: that Teen Suicide link sounds more like hipstery lo-fi noise pop or something. Maybe they have some emo influences but it doesn't show much.

Ah, alright. That emo.

The emo I think of when I hear the term "emo" is the ultra-degenerate "it's not a phase mom!" kinda emo. You know, those kids who dress in a modified scene fashion, self-harm in obvious places, and then give themselves a label because of aforementioned life choices and because it's in right now.

I don't actually have to explain further. You can just see for yourself. http://www.scenekids.com/

I pretty much didn't get into anything while it was happening. I was born in '88.
I'm not even old enough to get a drivers license. I COMPLETELY MISSED EVERYTHING.

Oh well. There are still bands like Code Orange, Unit 731, Nails, etc. and I just have to hope they come to Canada before they disappear or before they change. I was really hoping to see Code Orange this year but they're touring with Deftones who also aren't coming to Canada this tour...

That's essentially his appeal, and I frigging adore it, kinda how people (like us) never watch Schwarzenegger for acting chops, just kickass fight and battle scenes and cheesy, searing one-liners.

Actually you probably don't wanna know how obsessed with Arnold Schwarzenegger I am. I genuinely think he's the greatest actor ever. But I get you.

Interesting, who's rendition?
