Favorite beers

Love this shit.

My favorite beers come from a local micro brewery and restaurant here in Connecticut called the Willimantic Brewing Company.. They always have a bunch of originals on tap and unlike other microbreweries they also carry a ton of other "guest" beers from top microbreweries around the country. While I don't go nearly as often as I would like to (I used to go every Tuesday night on my way home from work), I still stop in with my growler and get a fill of something different on tap at least once a month.

Favorites are Autobahn Alt, Overseas Mail Octoberfest, Willimantic Postage Porter - they also tend to feature at least one rye Ale which I have a fondness for.

This place is truly one of my favorite places in the world. Not only a great place, but staffed by great people.

If you are ever in the area I highly recommend a visit.

Current WBC Beers on tap

Stone has some great beer. The arrogant bastard is indeed delicious
Rogue Dead Guy is also a great beer.
I live in the Chicago area so my favorite breweries around here are two brothers and three floyds.
Goose island is alright as well.

I've also been liking the taste of the Heineken lately

i used to love heineken, but find it way too skunky nowadays

i still, however, love heineken dark...definitely an extremely underrated beer

It's funny to hear people order Yeungling here (PA), since its brewed here. They just ask for a "Lager"... Yeungling is not bad.

Jesse - first had Red Stripe IN Jamaica - I was sold immediately! :) HOORAY BEER!

James, what part of FL are you in that has Yuengling readily available? When I moved to Louisiana I went through about 6 months of withdrawals before I got used to the fact that there was no Yuengling for hundreds of miles.

Central... right between Tampa and Orlando.... very easy to find here... even the Circle K by my house has it.

yup

its a good "make everyone happy" beer for like parties and such. Doesn't taste bad, has some variety and isn't too costly. Not my 1st choice but if its what they have at a party or free from the bar at a gig, I'll happily drink it

I'm not much of a beer drinker but what would you guys suggest for someone in the states? (as most of the beers posted her aren't domestically available)

I here good things about fat tire but i've never had it. Down here no one cares what it tastes like, so everyone just gets keystone/natty. (ewww)

I've only ever had bud light and bud select myself. I need some good affordable beer suggestions! :)

red stripe might be a winner for you...i personally think it tastes like trash, but most people like it

sierra nevada pale ale is a good one, too, for people who are just getting into "craft" beers

same with sam adams, just the regular ol' boston lager
