Favorite Death Metal Album

Obituary fucking sucks. Jon Tardy (resisting...John..."RETARDY"...joke!) is whiny as fuck and the music is literally NOTHING SPECIAL.

It's not complex or particularly interesting, but it's solid, straightforward bludgeoning Death fucking Metal the way it should be played.

Never have liked them, but that's mostly due to this one attention starved young'un at my school who throws them out for shockvalue, and this is by far the least annoying thing he does.
He's been known to tie a string around his wrist, cutting the circulation off to the point where it turns purple, and waves it around whilst shaking his ass like a stripper
Most annoying person on the planet
He makes Paddy look like a tame little preppy kid.
So, everytime I hear them I think of him, get pissed off and change the song quickly

 Don't hate the Corpse because of some idiot...

Possessed's Seven Churches. Not "solid" death metal, but still considered a death metal classic by many (thrash too). Stargazer's TSTTTS is also probably one of my favorites. The only other favorite I could maybe think of is God Macabre's The Winterlong

I put on Slowly We Rot a week ago, and it seemed it was so straight forward that it lacked anything else. No atmosphere, nothing. It was like a boring thrash album.

Sounds like another variation of all the other early proto-death bands, like Death, Possessed, Morbid Angel, Death Strike, etc.

You're fucking adorable, you know that?

Let's say for me Hypocrisy's Abducted or Final Chapter... And Illdisposed's There's Something Rotten in the State of Denmark.... for now.
