ninefeetunder: really? i wouldn´t say that. katatonia, opeth, meshuggah, PoS, At the gates, bloodbath, theory in practise... there are no better metal bands in the world in my opinnion... well the list goes on and im too tired to think now... frantic bleep is a band that is not from sweden that is among my favourites... or, are they from sweden?

katatonia, opeth and meshugahh. thats 3 bands. at the gates is broken up, bloodbath is extremely overrated and boring, theory in practice is NOT even worth mentioning compared to other swedish bands, etc etc. the point is 3 bands doesnt make the entire country the apex of metal. besides, those 3 bands have been around 10 years plus. the CURRENT scene is godawful.
You are truly the most annoying fucker (besides myself) on this forum, putting words into others mouths, have you even heard colonizing the sun to make such understatements you idiot... Bloodbath are not overrated, your mother is overrated... they play oldschool death with perfect growl and classic riffs that suite my taste... music is truly a competition based on "facts" an "theory perfections" to you isn´t it?

there are hundreds of metal bands that have come from sweden. literally HUNDREDS. and dozens upon dozens of those are better than theory in practice on all fronts. i heard theory in practices demo material before colonizing the sun was even released...when you were in diapers, i really urge you to stop assuming i havent heard something you have. for in fact...i have heard everything. bloodbath IS overrated...nobody would be listening to them if mikael, swano and the katatonia boys werent involved. if it was just some new death metal band playing those albums, they wouldnt have nearly the hype or exposure or the fan base...and you know it. and thank you for bringing my mother into this, that was extremely relevant.
do yourself a favor...check out some real swedish bands like eucharist, mefisto and candlemass. once youve done that, then you might have a leg to stand on here. now shoo

This is not about how many bands i have heard, that is not what i spend my days to... infact most of it just comes to me somehow, by friends and perhaps by comparisons on forums like this one... you really think you´re gifted, that you have a special talent with music, enough to tell people what they should think, i can tell you that every slipknot kid on this planet can be compared to you in that case...it is fucking ridiculous to think that music in every way is not subjective...ofcourse you can compare bands that have the same elements, but the other band does it better... bloodbath, is a collection of talanted modern legends, ofcourse they will make it good... do you think i listen to music as a status thing? i wont listen to king krimson because it just wont satisfy me... bloodbath does, eventhough there´s nothing special about them in a way, they just do it good. try not telling me that you would know what´s good and not. i could make an understatement that ricky martin is more talented than åkerfeldt and you would logically not be able to argue that in any way... you can try.
are you seriously assuming that i wouldnt have a clue of candlemass? I do not enjoy their music at all (and i am not assuming my taste would be better than your´s like you do)... i have seen them live 3 times eventhough im not a fan of them... how does a band like gojira rise up from nothing in a non-metal country like france... how the hell are they overrated? you must point out every single element of their sound and tell what they do worse than an other band with the same elements... or maybe you just dislike pure thrash, death as it seems... oh wait...now you´re going to tell me that those genre´s are overrated? and the same goes for theory in practise.
