I think it´s to soon to me for voting :( ... I really can´t choose between "Iconoclast" and "When all is Lost", and I´m preety sure that between those two songs will be my favorite... Although maybe is because that for the rest of the disc I really have not a solid opinion yet... When I´m ready I´ll surely vote!

I don´t know why but seems that I´m in the minority that can´t stand "Lord of Chaos"... I really don´t hear anything special on that song yet.

I'm abstaining from voting for now. I honestly like the songs pretty equally at the moment. They're all pretty good songs in my opinion, but I have a feeling some of them are going to grow on me.
If I had choose one based on which one grabbed me the quickest, it would be Heretic because of the guitar riff @ 00:34. I specifically like that the drums are kind of laid back during that riff (as opposed to bass drum following the guitar) as I think it creates a little bit of contrast, and probably makes the riff sound faster than it really is. Can't help but to head bang to it.
However, I'm sure this will be short lived as the intricacies of songs like Iconoclast grow on me and become more memorable on repeat listens. I prefer that type of song in the long-term, anyway.

When All Is Lost, naturally. Other ones that are growing on me are Iconoclast, Prometheus (it's catchy in a goofy way), and the oddly non-Symphony X-sounding Reign in Madness.

Also, for the two people thus far who have voted for Electric Messiah, I will say that it is probably one of the strongest "shorter" songs on the album.

Reign in Madness. I love that song. It's funny how many seem to think that it doesn't sound like Symphony X, while to me it sounds very traditional.

voted iconoclast but the top 4 are all pretty close for me

(iconoclast, when all is lost, reign in madness, lords of chaos)

but yea... i get what people are saying about it being a bit early to really have a solid favorite. my opinion may change after some time.

All of the Above. The album is strong from start to finish. The musicianship, song-writing, performance and production are all top-notch.

It follows in the footsteps of PL, in the sense of excellent sound quality, production quality and musicianship, with a sustained level of high quality across the entire album (a sense that is missing from the uneven hot-and-cold-ness of the albums released before PL), but it also brings back some of the songwriting and story-telling that hearkens back to those older albums.

I found myself humming The Eyes of Medusa and Church of the Machine after listening to these new tunes. I have no idea why. I was obviously reminded of them subconsciously for some reason. There are also lots of connections to the riffs and structures from PL, of course.

So this might just be the best of both worlds. They may have really hit the bull's-eye with this one. It should appeal to both PL and pre-PL fans off the bat, but also offer a lot of innovation and uniqueness to make it stand on its own. Every song has something interesting and compelling to it. I have a feeling I'll be listening to this album many, many times.

"when all is lost",big big song with a wonderful work of MJR and an enchanting
piano intro, but I think that I can imagine all the crowd shouting "We are strong,
we will stand and fight" at "Iconoclast",and what can I say about "Reign in madness",wonderful lay of keyboards while Romeo dominate the rhitm session,
aggressive and melodic song, while "End of innocence" and "Light up the night" are in the classic Sx style, and "Prometeus" has a very original style.I think is
the best record since "V" and Russell never pushed so far his magic voice like
this, if you love metal and don't get this record you don't know anything.
They're back stronger, aggressive and melodic than ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When All Is Lost. Might not stay that way, I also love Iconoclast, but I think WAIL is better.

When All Is Lost
Iconoclast
Reign In Madness
Bastards Of The Machine
Children Of A Faceless God

For now, anyway. The other tracks all sound good I haven't completely got into them yet though.

When All is Lost is the only song i really like at the moment. I don´t enjoy very much the new "megametal" dimension of the band.

When all is Lost. Just amazing.
I also love the title track and Light up the Night. That one really has an old era Symphony X feel to it and I imagine it would be a great live track.

At the moment, I am loving Iconoclast, Dehumanized, When All is Lost, and Reign in Madness the most. Is it a coincidence that they are all longer songs?

Voted Reign in Madness mainly for the interesting intro and Pinella.

Personally I think Light up the Night, Lords of Chaos, and Reign in Madness are 3 of the stronger songs on the album, yet those are the 3 they decided to remove from the one disc version. I wonder why they chose those 3 songs? The album feels so complete if you take those out.
