Holy Terror sucks.

It's apparent from the choices that I don't really listen to thrash anymore except for the top 8 and Slayer. Lots of my favorites weren't even on this list so it was hard to motivate myself to even submit a top 20.

The first half of By Inheritance is really solid, but after that it becomes a homogenous suite.

Yeah. I listened to that Holy Terror yesterday and it started off cool then progressively and quickly got awful. Dudes voice grates on my brain too.

I never formed a full opinion on Hexen. Its half good, half shit.

Unnatural Selection got me interested in thrash again.

Holy Terror sucks.

0/10 thrash taste, would not listen again.

Keith Deen is srsly one of the greatest metal vocalists of all time. Even if the songs don't grab you, the voice is perfect. He has the perfect raving madman voice for the most intense material, but he could really sing as well.

Also, while I can sort of see the case for By Inheritance being top-heavy, Back in the Trash is easily on par with Khomaniac.

Top 10 were tough choices. Destruction and Overkill both deserve to have albums in the top 20 before allotting two slots for Testament. :err:

Agreed. So does Hexen.

Psh, name one other thrash band that can produce that level of neoclassicism in thrash, and at the same time tackle the philosophies of Sartre and Camus. It's art man. If you are ever confronted with the Absurd, you'll get it. I wouldn't wish that on anyone though, possibly the worst feeling I have ever felt.

Maybe Exmortus is more virtuosic, but their lyrical content is nowhere near as deep as Hexen.

Art doesn't make it any better to hear. Fucking I can call my bowel movements art, but they still sound like shit.

And Destruction is easily the best of the German trio. Release From Agony alone makes them the best.

I guess we should just give up and listen to the same 20 80's thrash albums for the rest of our lives, because nothing will ever be better. Let's all just be old men and fade away with our boring ass music tastes.

Fuck that, I love the new wave of thrash. I go to concerts and see bands that are raw and legit TODAY not 30 years ago. I still mosh and bang my fucking head. Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer, bore me to tears these days. I'm only rating them high on the list because there was a total of 1 fucking new option, and the rest of those albums were good.. 20-30 years ago....

@Krow:Your face is crap compared to my balls.

Sodom is right up there with them, sure, but they dont have the depth or the technical prowess to catch up. Kreator has like 1 good album and 3 mediocre-to-boring ones so they shouldn't be counted overall anyway.

The Holy Terror singer isn't good at all. That convo can end now. He's the equivalent of handing the mic to someone with a 'drome and saying "Yell like a metal dude!"

Eternal Devastation not being on this list just fuckingb blows my mind.

All three bands from the big German trio kick ass and have produced some of the best thrash we've ever heard. My opinion on who the best is from them is always changing so i decided not to even fucking bother anymore lol.
