Guitar Player's Thread

You sound like this to me:

"I'm so good at guitar I don't need a neck pickup. All of you who use neck pickups SUCKS, play sloppy and should feel bad."

Fair enough. I would say it with other words and not so harsh but this is rudimentally what I think about a lot of guitarists I know or have heard/seen.
And yes, I practised my ass off over the last years that I can really say over myself that I am good and better than most guitarists I personally know or have seen on - for example Youtube.

^ Dude, most Youtube guitarists are just kids who seek for attention. But I agree, you're definitely better than average. Even though I presume you play just metal, so you're just good in one genre.

RR24 is better than ESP, no its not, yes it is, neck pickup is cheating, no its not, explain, aleski fanboy, I play better, bla bla...

Well... I have seen Alexi CS guitars for 2100-2500 on a few pages so it could be that this is true. But only the Alexi scythe and so I think that they didn't use a wrong pic. Maybe it's because the Scythe guitar is a real ugly guitar comparing to the other ones :)

But look here: http://www.musicstore.de/de_DE/EUR/...th-Black/-Pink-inkl.-Case/art-GIT0013429-000#

It is a ESP CS pink sawtooth but STD version?!? I didn't know that CS STD guitars excist but maybe they just want to lure people...

What? That's just a standard version of the pink guitar. Ordinary standard ESP.

I was thinking about bringing up the fact that I have no... what I guess you could call "tone discrimination." What I mean by that is that you always hear, everywhere, about good tone, great tone, shit tone, and so on. But to me it all sounds the same. I mean, obviously if I directly compare two different guitar players with different gear and amp settings, I can hear a difference- but the bottom line is that it all sounds like an electric guitar to me. And what's actually being played is far more important than what it's being played through, to me.

Maybe someone has something they'd like to comment that would lead to further conversation? I know what I just said doesn't leave much for feedback or anything- but it makes me feel like an oddball when everyones talking about tone and I have no opinion, hah.

Lol.

I think there is alot of stuff that make a tone bad. Mine has to be clear, uumphy but still not woofy on the low end and have some serious grit and punch.
