Yeah, the top "horn" thing is waaaay too far down, but it has EMGs, OFR, 24 frets and set-neck cut down at the joint to neck-thru thickness.

yeah but explorers are my favourite guitar shape by far, apart from jackson RRs and King Vs, and it's a metric fuckton cheaper than the RR24 or KV5FR.

That would be called not the same specs The inclusion/exclusion of a Floyd Rose is a very big difference. If I wanted a FR, and some non-FR guitar looked ten times better I'd still go with the FR guitar.

well in that case you could get a jackson Kelly. They're pretty awesome.

Kellys kick ass, but the only one around that price range, the KE3;
1. Is about £100 more
2. Has a licensed FR as opposed to a real one.
3. also just found out it has a bolt-on neck

Or, if you really love the Explorer shape, and want a FR there's this...

However, it has 22 frets. But you really don't ever NEED to have 24. Plenty of people make do quite well without them.

Why settle for less when you can have more? I suppose its somewhat up to your playing style, but i do a lot of tapping and I'm often enough using the 24th fret(or the 23rd for that matter) in that. Also i think it looks neater and more sensible having 2 full octaves, rather than 1 10/12th or something, but i guess thats just me
