are there any other dufferences with ESP and LTD apart from:
- gain boost/ active pick up
- floyd rose 1000 and the other one... sorry i forgot what its called
- and theres apparently cheaper quality paint on the hardware...

i read that esp + ltd are the same except for few small things. and my friend said that the gain boost doesnt make the guitar sound a hell of a lot different...

But pound for pound? Megadeth’s records are tighter, more precise and more technical on every level. Even at their peak, the current line-up of Metallica would not be physically capable of playing Holy Wars…The Punishment Due and making it sound as good as it does on Rust In Peace. Not a chance. read my post again! There are other important things about a guitar, companies don't list in the specification lists.

You should know that the build quality between an LTD and ESP are different.
And yes, the build quality does make a difference.
The LTD models are mass produced in countries such as South Korea, China, and Indonesia.
They use cheaper wood to build the guitars, much like the edwards Alexi guitars.
