[Brutal Hate]

I was writing a thrash metal song, got bored and put a ridiculous solo in the middle.
It's so far out of my league that I'll probably never be able to do it, but if anyone here can play it they'll be my fucking hero.

Thrash metal? Solo? WTF?! Those two don't match at all.

I mean solos aren't for thrash IMO.

Yes and No.

Nowadays solos are just generic. All the good solos are already made, people just rearrange the old stuff. I don't mean your solo would be bad though.

I don't think I've heard a thrash song without a solo, and imo if there are any then they're not worth listening to.

By that logic you could argue that every chord progression has already been done, and people just rearrange "the old stuff".

It's not about the choice of notes, it's about how you speak through them, which no two people can do quite the same way.

Well actually solos aren't essential in thrash. Maybe in power metal, but not in thrash. Maybe you're mixing up melodeath and thrash?

I'm sorry but did someone here just say that Metallica are posers? I mean yes, of course, they ARE the very definition of "sellout" nowadays. But calling Master of Puppets "poser thrash" has got to be one of the most retarded things I have EVER heard, Metallica were one of the first thrash metal bands ever to exist. Sure they're no Destruction or Kreator or Sodom, but they can't be posers when they helped define the fucking genre.
