@TheKid - I installed an x2n in my ibanez rg (basswood I think), and it honestly sounds almost like an active. It has that same attack and "bite" in the high end. I like it, palm muting sounds tighter.
Those Gibson LP's posted a page back are nice. I like the rootbeer finish. Oh, and I wouldn't mind having that Jackson Dinky or the Agile 7 string
Speaking of seven strings and Gibson, has any posted pics of the new (?) 7 string Gibson Explorer? Matt Heafy is playing them now. Don't know how that doesn't conflict with his Dean endorsement. Dean sucks anyways, so maybe he just wanted to play a real guitar for a change lol.
I greatly agree with this too. I would get a valvestate if I had the money. I had a Vox that was a hybrid and it had amazing tone for what it was. Don't get me wrong, I like tube amps and all, but Hybrids are definitely my favorite. I can't really say I like pure SS so much. After my Vox though it has definitely sealed my mind on what I want, and Randalls seem to be pretty nice, so I'm going to get the Ninja V2 when I have enough money
On the subject of amps, I'm going to beg my parents for a Marshall Class 5 for my birthday. Only 5 watts, but it's all tubes and has a Celestion speaker. And 5 watts is plenty for home use and recording anyway.
Like Brent said, they're with their former endorsers now.
And seriously, a 24.75 inch scale on a 7-string? No thanks.
And thanks for the advice on that.
Pure SS is donkey cunts, i have a 350W SS and it's ass, cant wait till i buy a proper amp(read: all tube)

I want to get a 5150 this summer, it's still one of my favorite sounding amps.
350 Watts? For what, so it doesn't crackle at high volumes?
class 5 needs to be cranked to get distorted, and it's more of a rock distortion I believe.
Matt and Corey both left Dean. Matt is with Gibson now I think, and Corey is with Jackson again.
Shit.
Well I've also been checking out the Blackheart Handsome Devil, looks pretty good.
