Guitar Player's Thread

Of course man, Death are fucking awesome, but Chuck was using expensive amps and I'm using a Toneport, EMGs and some other pickups don't work for me whereas they work great for famous artists. I was wondering if anyone with a similar cheapo setup to mine had tried it.

And Nergal is a manly man and Behemoth kick 100 metric tons of ass, anyone who disagrees can fuck off.

>Implying someone who's testicles are barely peeking out of his body can be the judge of what makes a "manly man"

Agile guitars look pretty sweet, are they any good?

For the price I've heard they are real nice, shitty pickups but they put cheap ones in to cut costs for you because they expect most people like to customize their pickups anyways.

also I'm excited I just won a "lot" of old maiden and megadeth posters on ebay for real cheap.

This one being the poster I'm most excited for

Cant wait to have life sized eddie ripping out of my apartment wall

I think I might be getting a free Dinky. Not 100% sure which model it is but my mate is giving it to me since he hasn't played in about 5 years (HE LISTENS TO GRIME NOW) olololo

Will post pics when I get it so you can identify it for me. derp

EDIT: Thinks its a DK2 by looking at the pic he just sent me

You are now banned from existence. Anyone who has followed Chucks career or knows anything about his gear knows he used a Marshall Valvestate -.- That's like a 200 dollar head... =P

Son I am disappoint...

He only used that in the last few years, before that he was using Randall amps.
And regardless, the Valvestate is still >9000000000000 times better than line-in, or a fucking Micro Cube

Yeah, but Randalls are pretty affordable, and so was the valvestate. It's not like he had his own signature amps or 5 5150's on stage. His stealth was really one of his only really nice guitars too. Alot of his sound came from his playing, his pickup, and a tubescreamer.

@TheKid - I installed an x2n in my ibanez rg (basswood I think), and it honestly sounds almost like an active. It has that same attack and "bite" in the high end. I like it, palm muting sounds tighter.

Those Gibson LP's posted a page back are nice. I like the rootbeer finish. Oh, and I wouldn't mind having that Jackson Dinky or the Agile 7 string

Speaking of seven strings and Gibson, has any posted pics of the new (?) 7 string Gibson Explorer? Matt Heafy is playing them now. Don't know how that doesn't conflict with his Dean endorsement. Dean sucks anyways, so maybe he just wanted to play a real guitar for a change lol.

My friend had one in his KV and it was the sex. I want to get one kinda.

Matt and Corey both left Dean. Matt is with Gibson now I think, and Corey is with Jackson again.

dude get the valvestate i have it, so fucking cheap. and its a great versatile amp, its a hybrid to so it has a nice little tube in the preamp to get those br00tz

I greatly agree with this too. I would get a valvestate if I had the money. I had a Vox that was a hybrid and it had amazing tone for what it was. Don't get me wrong, I like tube amps and all, but Hybrids are definitely my favorite. I can't really say I like pure SS so much. After my Vox though it has definitely sealed my mind on what I want, and Randalls seem to be pretty nice, so I'm going to get the Ninja V2 when I have enough money :)
