Just try to pick with your hand not moving..do excercises. Try to play songs slow like that. eventually its a automatic effect

Its individual but i woudnt expect it to take so long...maybe some week(s) if you really practice. Just try to relax when you play and move your wrist instead of arm.

Don't worry dude, I just made the switch of not anchoring like Gilbert does. It does take time, but you are fucking 13 years old.

What do you mean 'spastic arm thing'???

Is it an injury or what? If it's your forearm you can wear a wristband or something around it to compress it - especially if your downpicking a lot.
