Guitar Player's Thread

Yeah, it is. They had all his models when he was doing a clinic in my local guitar shop.

Well, I play guitar, have played like six months now.. I'm 13 years old girl :p I was 12 when I started.. I suck, but I keep training.. I hope that I could play someday little bit better... And I know that I will...

Welcome to the thread! Post some vids or soundclips of you're playing. You usually get some good feedback here.

He changed his EMG HZ for a SD Blackout recently in his tr00 ESP Sawtooth ;)

BTW dude, which is your ''musical state'' atm? Have you written anything new/recorded anything? Edge Of Despair and co. need new members for the family :kickass::lol:

loop level is how much your effects loop is, like if you have a booster then if you have it at the lower level then it wont be as loud but if you have the loop level at a higher db then it is louder

children of COB: well the warheart sweeps were really sloppy, you had some sort of weird slide thing going on. work on it slower your at the point where you. the SNBN, the sweeps were good but the actual speed picking parts were a bit sloppy

Cool, seems I indeed hear what happens, cos they were my actual thoughts about them, but as after the injury I have to build up speed and technique again (not full, but my level has decreased) I wanted to record that things to see if I really hear how I play or I overrrate myself. But it seems that you heard the exact same things as me, and seeing how a bitch you can get to be to other people's vids (no offence though, nothing false on your comment) that's enough for me to keep going, :kickass:

have you guys not realized that they had to get a new computer cause Jari filled up the last one with porn?

In fact that's what all Wintersun fans worry but are too afraid to say aloud,

I prefer the look of the horus (the applehorn is awesome too), but i don't like the dellinger that much. Also, if i were to get one ever, i'd like to have a single coil in the neck!

This applehorn is awesome.

That guitar is killer :kickass:

Ah okey! Well it's not so much the hassle as the money, what i meant was that if i buy a guitar for 2000€ and have to change both pickups, i'll end up with 2200€.

I have a few riffs and melodies written out, but i really wanted to practice, since when i'm writing/record i hardly get any practice. But soon enough i'll start recording something!

For me, i have my guitar in D standard most of the time.
Tuning down from D to Drop C isn't that much of a hassle.

But when it's songs in for example E or Drop D tuning, i use a different guitar or i transcribe the songs.

Thank y'all!

I always transcribe stuff to my tuning and i never tuned it down because
I was told you can't tune down to D without adjusting the tremolo again or something.. So Tuning down with a Floyd seems to be quite annyoing?

If you are for example tuning from E to D, you'll have to adjust the springs.

But, if you are going from a standard tuning to a drop tuning (for example D to Drop C) you don't really need to adjust the springs, sometimes you might tho.

Yes, it's annoying.

Glad to hear. If you practice more then your technique will go up and your songs will be even more :kickass: Definitely looking forward the next one :kickass:

That's not always true  But thanks for the interest :kickass:

It's true if you practice "correct" technique though :p

Can anyone help me tab this song out?

This was the band mattias played in a few years before forming Freak Kitchen. You can clearly hear his impact on the music. The albums this band made before was just like every other 80s hard rock band, but when he came in, everything changed. For one album that is.

I didn't ask in the tab thread, because it seems to be all about CoB songs, and Warheart only?

It's a nice song, with a kickass solo. I just want to be able to start practicing it, but I'm not experienced enough myself on tabbing to do a song like this.

(the album on wich this is on, is to me as good an "musical gift" to mankind, as hatebreeder. I've only got good responses when showing people this album, so there might be something about it . It's not very known because they stopped selling the album after a year or so. This was before Mattias Eklundhs other band, Freak Kitchen.

edit: I am repeating myself. Just listen to the damn song :p

@the effect pedal users: How did you manage the power supply? Do you have one adapter for each pedal or do you use these multi adapter things? Do you unplug them from electricity/amp/guitar every time you finished playing?

It will, you've been commented with success by OMG Conrad Simons!!! :kickass:

Seriously, maybe they won't, but at least you'll have more abilities to play them and to make other types of riffs/licks, and this is always good cos helps bringing variety if the composer wants. It could happens that someone (name it A) composed a song which is cooler than other song composed by other composer (name it B) with more abilities/technique, but if they compose 10 songs, B will for sure make an overall content way more interesting than A. A might be really lucky and compose one song that stands out amongs all A and B tracks, but overall B will be way better as he has more possibilities to write and play.

Dunno if I expressed myself clearly or it was a fucking mess worthy of a huge tl/dr,, but at least I tried.

I bought a power suply, I have one for each pedal, I've used multi adapters without problems and I do unplug them every time I finish playing.
