I don't know the difference between them either. Might be the composition of the rock or whatever.

Oceans don't freeze. what I meant by that stament is that tundra would extend past the tropics (Cancer and capricorn). As an additions, coastal cities are less prone to harsh winters because of thier location. THey get epic winters in calgary, not vancouver.
Live on fish, drink river water, and the coast will have a more temperate climate.
PS: None of you smart motherfuckers better come in here like "WELL IT WOULDN'T BE A METEOR THAT HIT EARTH BUT A METEORITE / METEROID / SPACE CHUNK/ WHATEVER THE FUCK". I don't know which is which is which and you know what I mean so go fuck yourself.
Yeah, but I'm sure that dust blocking the sun's rays would affect the entire Earth, so whether you live on the coast or not would be irrelevant in terms of temperature.
You might want to clean the water though. The sulphur levels will cause the ph to decrease and leech heavy metals out of rock.

COAST HAS A DIFFERENT CLIMATE DAMMNIT! Plus the coast will warm up faster once the dust dissapates.
We're talking about the coastline of California or the Gulf of Mexico, somewhere like that.
Yeah. Would boiling the water get rid of that or would you have to distill it?
Then I could agree. The situation is different for people in the middle of Russia though. They are fucked no matter where they go.
Are you a chemistry major?
Well natually this event would cause a massive populations drop.
If you think about it it makes perfect sense though.
