I read once that 15-years-old racers couldn't expect any sort of professional career (i.e. performances high enough to raise the attention of recruitors) if they refused to take the appropriate "medicine".

my parents guilted me into going to church, and I realized how much it annoys me with the way people will go to church and be christian just so it makes them look good to other people. The fact that they care so much of how people think of them that they will go to church is really sad. I also noticed that church is the main area for people to gossip and talk about others behind their backs.
