Compromises have to be made, of course, something I'm sure Erik and Tully will realise too. I go to work wearing my demin jacket with a Bathory patch, and my hair is reasonably long, yet I would still claim that my job is respectable (and I have insurance). I do, however, not spend every weekend chugging down beer, going to concerts and banging my head. It was fun for a while, and still is on occasion, but there is more to life than that.

I still have better, manlier taste than most of the other oldies on this forum though!

I second this, a whole lot. Plus you prove my point by showing you can still have a denim jacket, with patches, and be respectable and have a "real" job or watever. You can be metal AND classy (not that thats the point).
