And yes, I am a big fan of Still Life. I just don't like it nearly as much as those four I listed. White Cluster, Face of Melinda and possibly The Moor, are among my favorite songs.

I personally don't really see how Opeth is that hard to get into. Or that Morningrise is hard to get into. *shrug*

I don't know. I liked them pretty much instantly, so I can't say how to get into them if that didn't happen.

Unlike many bands, Opeth doesn't have old, obscure sounding albums or split 7" EPs or demos with horrible production. Any album you grab from will be a good choice for entry.

And yes, Deliverance is awesome. It just didn't bring in the same wash of new fans that BWP did, I think, so you don't get 10,000 people praising it on the forum all the time (clarification: BWP and new fans are also awesome).
