What bands are bands that you just dont "get"?

Did anyone mention Deftones yet? I didn't feel like reading through 320 posts. I've seen them a few times opening up for bands I was interested in. I just don't get them. I try to enjoy the music. But I think it just plain sucks.

They had potential to be good, but i agree. just when you think you're going to like the song, it fails. imo.

I found their playing and songwriting to be pretty mediocre.

Compared to whom? If there's a band like them that is better, bring it. I am aware of their Floyd influences, but other than that, they sound somewhat unique to me.

I've heard em compared to Anathema, Floyd, and PT, all of which are better.

I am a big fan of Floyd, Anathema, and PT, and I think of those, perhaps the first two can compare, but certainly not PT. I am not a PT fanboy like half this forum is, good though they may be.
