What is a masculine band? I wasn't aware that music was divided into "masculine" and "feminine" bands.

By masculine do you mean aggressive? Yes Opeth are aggressive but often they are also sensitive and emotional. I don't agree with you idea of Opeth as a "masculine band". They're much deeper than that.
