Well I would like to know people's opinion about those thread... they are reallllly multiplicating those days, and I don't think it's a good idea... we could certainly categorise every post in one of those thread, but where would be the utility? I post is about ONE subject and will be alive until the subject itself interests no one. But a post <-- if you blah will be alive a lot more time, but many things will be lost in the numerous pages of this thread because someone new won't read 20 pages. This thread could be multiple thread, but only the interesting ones will remain.

i don't really see them multiplicating. even if you include the new "tour" thread - that i still have to check - i guess it's about the only new thread of the kind since the forum rules (mentioning all threads like this) have been posted. so your dramatic increase would consist just of one.
as far as i see it there is, admittedly, no intention at all to categorise everything and make a lot of aseptic container-threads, so i don't object to your idea that this should be avoided, i'm just not seeing this happen.

however, i dummy up in case someone says i'm not neutral enough or accuses you of being my friend.
