And lets say john gets pissed and doesn't come back after ozzfest. Then what? Full on reunion with joey? Yeah, until shit inevitably happens to break that up....again.



God knows 'thrax deserve the exposure, but not like that. Then again, I'm not in the band, so what do I know.
 
If Bush and Belladonna both do it cool I'm behind em100%. If it's just Joey well, sorry fellas I got to pass. I love Joey and everything but do you want to hear him sing any of the newer stuff. Imagine hearing Only or What doesnt die with Joey singing. I just can't see it working... And if were only gonna hear the old stuff (pre Bush) No thanks.... 13 years of great music should not be swept under the rug... The only way this has a snowballs chance in hell of working is if BOTH singers are there.... Just my opinion.
BUT I DOUBT ITS GOING TO HAPPEN BECAUSE AS STATED MANY TIMES BEFORE. "JOHN BUSH IS THE SINGER FOR ANTHRAX"!!!!!!!
 
Isn't the whole point of playing to a gigantic Ozzfest crowd to make a GOOD impression? I'm sorry but with Cheeseball Primadonna on vocals, people are going to CRINGE. He was never amazing to begin with...and then add 12 years to his age, and it's going to be fucking awful. It won't be worth it in the longrun for Anthrax to do that.

They have a lot to lose. After having to sit through a set with Joey Belladonna singing (think of how much his voice sucked ass 12 years ago, and then add 12 years to it), Anthrax will be a fuckin' laughing stock. And they also have my respect to lose. And I've seen them live more times than I've seen any other band. It'd be the ultimate sell-out, and this will be the first Ozzfest I'll be sitting out if indeed it happens.
They already tried it in 1998, and he fucked them over. Time to move on, John Bush kicks his ass in every single way.
 
As a fan I dont want to see Joey Vs John. I just think it would be cool if they shared the same stage. TWO great anthrax singers at once. Imagine if they both sang a classic like caught in a mosh. FUCKIN AWESOME! verse 1 John, Verse 2 Joey, Chorus all together..
 
If John is still there, I am all for it. But I'd rather just see John sing the Joey era tunes. It makes no sense to put out The Greater Of Two Evils and then do a tour with Joey.

But it'd be retarded to go out and do a major tour with Joey and then continue on with Bush. It would downright confuse some people. And if they aren't continuing on with Bush, then I am definatly through with them. Plus I don't think Joey would be any good for Anthrax's image, or sound.
 
First of all, i dislike what Ozzfest now represents, but i do realize the positive outcomes that could happen if Anthrax was on it. However if they do it and it is not the current lineup, i will be extremely upset. I see it as them selling out and turning their backs on the fans that still care about them. The same fans that bought WCFYA,MOMD, and GOTE the day it came out. The same fans that attend the shows. It would just be a slap in the face for the true fans.
 
think about it anthrax want to be on a better label and this could give themn the opportunity to ensure they can do what they love for many years to come.

If there are some Priest-ian maneuvers going on behind everyone's back and Joey does come back, I'll be as disgusted as anyone. But I wouldn't put any money on it happening. I don't doubt that Sharon would make such an offer (she supposedly offered Sepultura a lot of money to reform with Max as well), but if Anthrax took it, they'd be nailing the coffin shut on the Bush era, and resurrecting a lineup that can't possibly work. It'd be tantamount to admitting their stint was a farewell tour.

And I don't think that's gonna happen.
