I have no idea what any of those words mean

Demisexual means that an individual experiences sexual attraction exclusively towards those they have a deep emotional bond with

It is a variation of grey a, which means someone who experiences sexual attraction only in limited circumstances

asexuals simply don't experience it at all

Maybe it's because I've been with an asexual partner the last three years, but I don't quite see it as such. These terms aren't wildly over the top and certainly not as ridiculous as other forms of identifying can get (mostly otherkin stuff.)

It gives people a way to form a community with those who are similar to them in a culture that has normalized heterosexual heteroromantic relationships and made all others into something "gross" or "wrong." I don't see how that is a silly thing.

Not everything is going to fit into a western binary view of sexuality and romantic attraction.

It's all incoherent nonsense.

You're the last person here (outside of TB) that gets to have an opinion on such matters. You approach issues of non-heteronormative identity with such a staggering amount of ignorance and obstinance that I wouldn't be surprised if you are just upset that your identity itself (that of the straight, white male in general) is no longer being simply accepted as the "default" from which all others must compare themselves.

You must really hate yourself.

Why is that?

Why does it specifically matter? For some people it would be a no go, but it isn't for me. I've never had the highest sex drive myself, so that plays a role in it.

Well a vagina is a lot better than a hand so there's one good reason

Does she get mad at you for getting erections? Hitting your winky with a broom and whatnot?

I'm aware it's better, but not so much so that I'd leave my partner over it. No need to justify my relationship really.
