Is this true? If so, what do you think about it? Rumor is that it's better than their last few, which may not be saying much depending on your viewpoint.

I quite enjoy it. I have always been a big IF fan since they were one of the bands that got me into metal and their earlier releases are classics IMO.
CC is an extremely solid release that has elements from nearly all their albums. The guitar harmonies are back and quite good too. I need more time to listen to it but at about 4 or 5 listens I would give it an 8/10 or so.
I'm sure I will be alone on this, especially on this board but meh.

Their last decent album was Colony, and even on that they were starting to get a bit too soft on some songs (ie Imaginary Story).

I heard a rehearsal song of Come Clarity, no vocals..it was pretty good. It reminded me of Whoracle, specifically Episode666, well the intro riff at least.

Biosphere is easily my favorite In Flames song.
Anyways, this album is good. Better than STYE and R2R but I still like Whoracle better.
The guitars are more polished, the vocals arn't whiney and the clean vocals are a step up from STYE... But really remind me of Passenger.
The acoustic piece during the title track is really nice and the female vocals are good too.

Yeah MUCH better than the last two albums. There is a solo or two thrown in. The guitars are more melodic..but its still..just ok. The clean vocals are much better but the harsh vocals still leave alot to be desired, I just dont think homeboy can do them like he could back on Jester Race. The clean vocals are soo much better, that is the one thing that I noticed right away.

Yes, the clean vocals are easily a step up... But I don't think they below to the sound of the rest of the band still.

This is nice to hear. I heard that the songs were more in the vein of Watch Them Feed, which was better than any song since Colony.

It's mainly just shit. There is one quasi-decent track, "Reflect the Storm", and some other tracks have good parts ("Come Clarity", nice folk acoustics) but generally any semblance of quality ends up drowning in a big pool of gay negro semen.
