Actually neal, their 2002 setlists were still pretty kickass; the tour they did with Iced Earth. Lots of TJR on that tour, including "Artifacts..." & "Moonshield."
boner. i wouldve gone to that, except i didnt want to give jon schaffer any more money after he ripped me off with horror show.

You mean you didn't buy the Gettysburg DvD? (oozing sarcasm) :loco:

Can you imagine watching that pretentious bastard walking through the fields of Gettysburg while playing that ridiculous trilogy? What the hell happened to that band?!

when i was waiting for in flames to go on i heard some kid say he saw the setlist on the wall/box and that artifacts of the black rain was on the list and i was pretty excited about that until they didn't play it and i checked the setlist on the wall thing they had and it wasn't really on there. lying fucker.

Being an Inflames die hard I must say that this is the best setlist since right before Reroute was released. 3 days, in Tulsa Ok, before Reroute came out they played a small club and included Food For The Gods, Gyroscope, Episode 666, Coerced Coexistence , Behind Space, and Moonshield. That was about 2001 or so. Anyway this is the best setlist they have played in 5 years so im happy even though they skipped New Mexico. Oh and Come Clarity is pretty damn enjoyable. Take This Life, Reflect the Storm, Crawl Through Knives and Vacuum kick the most ass. Def. best album since Clayman.

you're wrong

moonsheild and gyroscope are boring live since they never rotate those with other old tracks and also because they don't play the clean intros. I think I saw some setlist in europe late last year where they played Graveland and Morphing into Primal...can you believe that? or is that on the new dvd, not sure. But that's definitely what the person posted.

also, fuck John Schaffer...I used to love the guy until he got more and more pretentious with releasing The Glorius Burden....ride on stormrider!

and come clarity lacks from sameness most of the record...it's a step in the right direction I guess you could say. I'd wish for it to have different beats and melodies, or acoustic sections. It's decent overall...you pretty much get the point that they're not straying away from metal guitarwise...the clean vocals have improved. Anders seems to really like that style and I respect him for sticking it out. It's not like they're gonna get any more commercial time than they're already getting anyway so I don't think he's selling out.

I dont get the big deal over Moonshield. It's good but not near the best theyve done and not even the best song on TJR. Artifacts and December Flower are the best on that record. Id rather hear zombie inc, insipid2000, the hive, stand ablaze, etc before moonshield.

Nah, Moonsheild is one of the finest on The Jester Race. Their all great songs. The Jester Race and Whoracle still remain to be my favorite from In Flames. Infact, The Jester Race is my all time favorite album.

The newer stuff = meh. I'm not into that whole metal core type of vibe some of their new stuff has. Come Clarity is their best since Clayman, though.

I'd like to be a crtiic, but when you know your sure, and other metal fans are behind you, then it's valid.

Most of the new stuf is rather crappy.
