Good album, but slightly tedious at times. I prefer the 3 song sampler of Viva Emptiness. I'm new to Katatonia, so if anyone could recommend something more melancholic (such as Tonight's Music, or The Future of Speech), I would be most grateful.

Get BMD and LFDGD they are some of the best albums ever.. BMD is a lot different though.. but better

There's a difference between boring music and catatonic music... or should I say katatonic? 
Anyway, Discouraged Ones may not be as uptempo as LFDGD or Viva Emptiness (shhh!) but the songs are equally great!
