It's in Inner Harbor so it's the good neighborhood of Baltimore. It's safe for a chick to walk alone at night, but the buddy system isn't a bad idea if you want to be extra safe.

I'm planning on going for one of the days. I really want to see Godflesh, but I'll probably attend Sunday's event since there are more bands of interest to me. I'll definitely run into you guys, so I'll be sure to say hello.

I'm pretty sure the Inner Harbor is definitely NOT a categorically "good neighborhood". I've heard of multiple cases of muggings/assault on the streets near the venue during past MDFs, and a lot of areas aren't that well-lit (or well-policed probably). I sure don't like being alone out there at night.

Well it is Baltimore Just don't hang out with overly friendly homeless people at 4 o'clock in the morning, I learned that in 2009. My point wasn't that walking around alone at night is a completely safe idea, just that the chances of something happening are pretty slim. Of course, a certain amount of discretion is required to keep it that way. Still though, as V5 mentioned, the buddy system is probably the best way to go (though when my friend had his money stolen in 2009, we were in a group of 4 people).

OK update on the New England game plan. Grant is tentatively planning to fly up to Maine again for another week of hiking/sightseeing with me. If this is confirmed then I will be driving my own vehicle down, with Kris.

I just went to the dentists and have A WHOLE LOTTA work done and my car has a few hundred in work I need to do...

I still am planning and hoping to be able to go, but I'm not quite sure if it is going to be possible
