Probably belongs in Metal 2015 but since that doesn't exist, I spoke with the bass player from Hatchet today. He says they've all but finished 6 songs for the next album. It will be about 8-10 songs in length. So good progress, should be out early-mid 2015 I imagine.

Just found out about this excellent band that debuted in June. They were described as 'OM with more Sleep and more sitar', and it's fucking accurate. Listening now. Really awesome. I anticipate great things from them.

Speaking of September releases, has anyone heard of this artist called Myrkur? Apparently she's releasing an album this month as well. My friend linked me to her bandcamp and I'm listening to it now, but I'm getting a lot of meh feelings about it...

I'm going to save you the time. Don't listen to it it's absolute fucking garbage, the production is fucking horrible, it sounded like they recorded it in a garage without soundwalls. And Anders Friden's vocals on the album are horrendous.

In Flames has officially died.
