So did anyone actually get a copy of Darkspace - Dark Space III I? I checked that goddamn website 200 times and still missed it. Fuck that label for the bizarre way it does preorders and knowingly not fucking printing enough albums. No way the first press of an album should be sold out on its release day. FUCK.

I think they still have a few copies of the digi left that they will put up. A few guys are asking about it on facebook and just waiting for a reply. As far as i know the pre orders havent started yet but i dont know why they took the listing of their bigcartel. The slipcase version will be available in about 3 weeks.

The way they did preorder is long over btw. Didnt even fully understand it at the time so i cant explain it now. They were posting shit daily and now they've went silent. Goddamnit ill pay $30 for the digi but you have to give me a chance.

I saw people mention they already pre ordered it in bundles with vinyl or something but there should still be around 100 digi's going up on their own. I think they only did the bundle thing a few months ago because there was such an insane demand and it would help pay for the pressing or something, then the rest went to the release show and the ones for the shop havent been sold yet.

Mispressing that has been given out to people attending the release show of the record in Berne, Switzerland on the 6th of September 2014.

According to Avantgarde, this is the so-called "Encounter Edition":
As per discogs.

The misprint consists in the colour of the label (on-disc print): as all darkspace digipacks, this will be on black label with silver logo.
While for a manufacturing error, this 'encounter' edition was printed as silver logo only (no black background, as you can see).

Regarding numbering and quantity:
"Although numbered as " E xxx / 500" on the front digipack, the misprint edition was terminated in 230 (E-marked) numbered copies: this figure includes the copies sold at the venue on 06/09/2014 AND some copies that have been (or are being) kept from the band [...]

The remaining 270 copies of this edition are being destroyed, both disc and digipacks"

I am not sure if they are reprinting another 500 digipaks since they have made a mistake on the first 500..

Playing with my emotions.

Man I've never really payed any attention to Darkspace before. Interesting band but not sure if it's my thing. The new album starts off great - cool intro. Then the music starts. It sounds like a computer made this record. It's not organic sounding at all. Too mechanical. But I'll give it more listens because there is some interesting stuff going on. Just weird albeit unique sound.

Thats not surprising but disheartening at the same time...Only for the fact that Im seeing them with Opeth in December, strictly for nostalgic reasons. Atleast Opeth's new material I like, but new In Flames is just...:erk:

I still have yet to listen to the new IF, I saw some of their new music video and it sounded pretty awful. I'll reserve my judgement until I hear the rest of the album though. This is coming from a massive fanboy.

New ATG sounds fucking sick and new CC should be awesome too.

The last enjoyable album for me was CC, and it was pretty obvious before then they were going in the wrong direction. I think CC was a last gasp, fixing the blahness that was STTYE without changing the pop-styling.

Anyway, excited about Appalachian Winter, and reservedly interested in the new Decapitated and Evergrey.
