There is a difference between geeks and nerds. Geeks are people who have a very strong interest in a particular subject, such as role-playing, technology or whatever. Geeks don't necessarly have to be intelligent. Nerds on the other hand are people who have an interest in obtaining new knowledge, without having to specialize themselves as much as the geeks.
