Music video

I have never listened to Demon Hunter before, and now I know that I never want to listen to or see them again.

I have listened to full albums. Their second album uip through "Storm the Gates of Hell". They aren't that heavy. And they aren't very good. (By that, I mean they're pathetic). If you MUST have the growled vocals, go with Becoming the Archetype.

'Tis sad indeed. BtA is miles better, but I still really enjoy Demon Hunter. In fact, I thought Lifewar's video was pretty awesome. Creative if anything else.

I haven't heard enough Demon Hunter to make a good judgement on them. I'm not big on metalcore, but what I have heard from isn't bad. Becoming the Archetype is freaking awesome, but they do a different style of music, so I'm not sure how good a comparison they are.

BTA>DH but that's because BTA is progressive death metal and DH is metalcore. Oh and the song Lifewar is the worst Demon Hunter song to date.

there's lots you could do with a courthouse scene.

For those of you judging demon hunter by that song/video, please don't. It's a very strange video to a song that is NOT representative of the rest of their music

Some of their more melodic pieces:

Yep, I'm familiar with them already - still can't stand them. Their "melodic" is just poor hard rock (they've nothing on Three Days Grace or Distrubed) and their "heavy" is hardcore - metalcore at best. Even then, they can't compete with As I Lay Dying or old-school Avenged Sevenfold.

Really? I don't hear it. I agree they arent' as good as Distrubed, but I don't really hear much of a musical connection.

That's the way I heard it when a friend made me listen to them (I gave them a good week, as my buddy was wanting me to go to their concert the coming weekend). I felt like for most of their songs, I had already heard essentially the same song (maybe even moreso lyrically, but also musically), but done 10x better, by Disturbed.

Great find! I totally forgot that thread. Nice to see multiple bandmembers going for Hide in the Fairytale. I am stilling pounding the Repeat button on that song :headbang:

I'm trying my best not to make fun of those saying that Disturbed is better than Demon Hunter. For one, they're music isn't similar at all anyways.
