It's lining up to be a fun year for me. After dealing with health issues, which lead to money issues for the last 4 or 5 years, things are finally looking up. I got a decent tax return this year and decided to start making up for lost time. I'm going to some shows. So far, this is what I've got lined up...

3/18 D.R.I.
4/1 Van Halen/Kool & The Gang
4/25 Overkill
5/12 Chickenfoot/Black Stone Cherry
7/5 Iron Maiden/Alice Cooper

Also, When Kiss/Motley Crue goes on sale, my wife wants to go.

Edited to add Def Leppard goes on sale next week, I'll probably pick up a ticket.

Anybody else got any plans yet?

We have one band in common, cool! Looks like you're going to be busy!:hotjump:

I don't remember the date, but I saw Eric Johnson earlier this year. I also saw death Angel, Testament Anthrax Feb 5. Eluvietie RevocatiOn and Children of Bodom March 4. March 5 I saw Van Halen in Philly but my seats and the crowd sucked. The band was on fire. I'm seeing them again March 28 in dc and I paid $600 for a VIP package ticket. I'll probably most likely go to the mayhem tour but which city is to be determined. Megadeth is playing a headlining set in Richmond on may 9. Def going to that. I wanna go to that Orion festival in Metallica, but just to see them perform ride the lightning in its entirety. Fuck the other bands on that bill.

5/12 Chickenfoot/Black Stone Cherry

I'd love to see Chickenfoot one day!

going to c brian setzer rockabilly riot at end of month

I saw Rockabilly Riot last summer in a boiling hot Helsinki Ice Hall, it's a great show! Can you buy me a bowling shirt if they still have them? I promise I'll pay you back!

5/4 - Social Distortion

You won't be disappointed, I rule live!

---

I was going to go see Steel Panther tomorrow - didn't get a ticket.

I was supposed to see Anthrax at least once this spring - they're not coming and I can't travel to see them right now.

I bought a ticket to see original Black Sabbath for the second time - turns out I'm going to see "Ozzy and friends". Yay...

I AM going to see The Boss with The E Street Band this summer - now there's a man who never ever disappoints.

What a sucky concert year it's going to be for me.

Have already seen this year:

- Suicidal Tendencies/Biohazard/Terror/Walls of Jericho
- D.A.D.

Going to see:

- Judas Priest/Thin Lizzy in April
- Sacred Reich in June
- Overkill in October

I saw Sanctuary a couple months back. Show was really good, met the band (again) and got some of the best news from Jim (bass player) that I could've ever asked for.

Going to Lacuna Coil/Megadeth/Rob Zombie on May 11 and the Joey Ramone Birthday Bash on the 19th for my bachelor party.

Unfortunately I'm going to miss about 4-5 shows at the beginning of July. Going to Ireland for my honeymoon. Getting to stay in two different castles makes up for it.

I normally do 20-30 shows per year so this is a pretty average year in terms of gigs, but I'm definitely being more selective with what I'm going to given I'm doing so many Maiden gigs. I'm only doing Texas because I've got enough frequent flyer miles from doing Maiden gigs in Europe the past 2 Summers to fly down there for free :D

I've usually average about 50 shows a year. I got a good start in January at the NAMM show, but I've been slacking lately. Haven't been to a show since the Anthrax/Testament show on Feb. 4th. I am trying to take it easy for a couple months since I know I've got a busy summer ahead.

How was Aiden/Modern Day Escape? Ive liked Aiden for years and Modern Day Escape seems pretty cool.

Congrats! Staying in two castles in Ireland sure sounds pretty brilliant to me. And obvioulsy, a honeymoon is certainly a legitimate reason for skipping a few shows.

Not many shows lined up for me, I must admit. I'm going to see Motorpsycho perform their new album from start to finish next week, and I can't wait. They've roped in an extra member on keys and there's a well known guy doing light design that will handle the visuals. In addition, it's in an intimate setting so I've got pretty high expectations.

Computer was down for a few days. Just checking in to say that I did pick up my ticket for Def Leppard and I plan on getting my Scorpions ticket monday when they go on sale.

I wish I could go to as many shows as some of you folks. I'm really happy for you!

Also, I'm seeing D.R.I. tomorrow! I'll let you all know how the show was!

Edited to say that I just noticed it's after midnight so technically, I'm seeing D.R.I. tonight. Whoo hoo!
