NBA Playoffs

All you Boston fags need to stfu with all your pompous guarantees. Also, no player fucking deserves anything. That's been pissing me off lately. "oh, poor kg and allen deserve rings omg"

Kobe doesn't deserve shit the way he played last night. As for Paul Pierce...

You deserve what you earn. That's how it works.

Huh? Kobe played shite LOL

If scoring 25 points, 5 steals and 7 rebounds is shite performance that I don't know what is good performance, oh right maybe it's shite performance only to Kobe!
PP played very well but don't you forget that he has KG and Ray Alen on his side, he wouldn't do it without them.
Lakers players lack experience (except of course Kobe and Fisher) and Celtics double team Kobe most of the time, that's why he's not playing very well, sometimes he's surrounded by 3 or 4 bodies.
Even if celtics win it this year(look like they will do) they won't do it again, Lakers will be stronger next year, Celtics players are getting old and they will have to wait another 20 years to collect bunch of superstars to win it again.

Thats why LeBron James can carry the Cavaliers to the playoffs, every year

not everything a player does shows up on a stat sheet, the cavs are still an above average team without lebron. Their biggest problem is that lebron can't close games. Thats why the lakers win all the time, kobe is the best closer in the league.

Indeed, that is shite for Kobe, who missed a ton of shots last night as he was once again trying to carry the whole team on his shoulders.

And what is more important than next year is the fact that the Celtics haven't won in 22 years, so it's about time that they win it all again, especially Pierce, who's been in the franchise his entire career.

Kobe's supporting cast is too inconsistant. It seems they get rattled easily and if something goes bad they can't adjust

Last I checked basketball is a team sport.

“He’s the whole focus for us,” Pierce said. “He’s a guy who can beat you all by himself, so the whole game plan is surrounding and stopping him...

If there was another guy who could step up with Bryant then it would be totally different story, like in game five when we saw Odom and Gasol beating Celtics. If they keep playing like that, I believe the lakers could steal the title!

The Lakers barely survived last night and besides the first quarter and a few glimmers here and there throughout the rest of the game they looked pretty mediocre. Pierce was blowing by their defense on that pick and roll with Garnett nearly every play. If not for that steal (which was very nice) the game easily could've gone the other way. Squeaking out a win like that at home doesn't inspire much confidence that they can win two games in a hostile arena with fans and players rabid for a championship.

Yea Pierce beat it Kobe very easiely, as an evidence Kobe stole the ball twice from Pierce in the last couple minutes of the game .
Kobe was facing double teams most of the times not just Pierce, and sometimes it was Ray Alen and Kevin Garnett, Pierce was covering him in game five until he got into foul troubles, you will see that in game 6, Pierce cannot defend Kobe by himself.

That says something about team defense. The Celtics knew how to keep Kobe in check, but the Lakers had a harder time with Pierce. And now they have to do it again, in Boston.

Pierce has played as if he is one of the NBA's elite players the entire playoffs. He is not in the Lebron / Kobe category, but he has stepped up, held his own and at times been better than both of these stars.

Um...who gives a shit of Pierce played his ass off? The Celtics lost. Not only that, but Garnett, Allen, and Rondo played pretty mediocre. Pierce can drive the lane and take easy buckets all night, but if those other three I named play like that again in game 6, don't expect them to win. Even though you are already guarunteeing another Celtics win.

Also, if you people don't see the strategy the Lakers are using then excuse me while I laugh. Kobe played like shit? They are double teaming him on the perimeter, and quadrpple teaming him when he comes into the paint. So all Kobe has been doing is setting the pace early on for his teammates and as the game progresses (aka "kobe time") he lures all of the defenders his way and lets his teammates finish it off. Lets compare the starting five for both teams.

Odom: 8-10, 20 pts, 11 reb, 2 asst
Gasol: 6-10, 19 points, 13 reb, 6 asst
Vlad Rad: 3-6, 7 points, 5 reb, 2 asst
Fisher: 3-10, 15 points, 2 reb, 2 asst
Bryant: 8-21, 25 points, 7 reb, 4 asst

Pierce: 10-22, 38 points, 6 reb, 8 asst
Garnett: 6-11, 13 points, 14 reb
Allen: 4-13, 16 points, 2 reb, 2 asst
Rondo: 1-7, 3 points, 2 reb, 3 asst
Powe: 0-0, 0 points, 2 rebounds

It's fairly obvious that Pierce was picking up the slack for Rondo's shitty performance, and trying to make up for Garnett being MIA for most of the game. Powe only played 4:59, which I didn't understand. But regardless, the starting 5 for the Lakers was clearly playing better than the Celtics starting 5, as a whole.

One last thing I want to point out:

Can we please, for the love of fucking god, stop talking about the Celtics superb defense? It's fairly obvious what they do. They double/tripple/quadruple team the best player on the court so that the other players can make the plays. Excuse me while I'm not impressed. Kobe had a pretty good game, wasn't anything spectacular, however the Lakers still scored 103 points on the best defense evaarrrr. Explain that one to me!

Also...
Paul Pierce needs to learn that there are these things called "razors" that can take those pubs off of his face. The fucking guy looks ridiculous, seriously. 32 years old and the best he can grow for facial hair is those tiny spots that grow randomly on his face? I mean, he has to see that in the mirror, right?

LOL

that's what I was trying to explain, seem like no one was getting it, all Celtics defenders were focusing on Bryant and that made it easier for his teammates, I hope the same thing happen in game 6, lets just hope that Odom won't get in foul troubles and Gasol keep doing the hard work.
