I think things will continue to go basically the same way unless some catastrophe (man made or natural) happens. When have things not been fucked up throughout our history? From the time we understood that we could pick up a stone and use it to kill someone, we've been killing each other without much remorse. It doesn't matter who's leading us, things will always be shite.

You?

A: I think the world is in building upheaval, relatively soon to come to a head. 'Humanity', in part, is much as described by agent Smith in The Matrix movie 'a virus that spreads and devours until it eats up all it's resources, then self-implodes'. We may have had some good parts to humanity, but they seem so fleeting in comparison to all the abuse, mistrust and pure evilness that has and does occur.
The future looks to be about to make an immediate and life-changing statement in our lives, whether good or evil. Truths will be released and fallacies revealed.

Q: Same question

A: All great civilizations must come to an end, and I think ours has definitely started on its last journey. Humanity itself I do not have much respect for, it is essentially contributing towards its own destruction and extinction through pollution, toxic waste, nuclear weapons, cutting down the rainforests and so on. If people were sane they wouldn't do this, but instead they're fueled by greed and selfishness. Is the world so bleak as it's portrayed in media? Who knows? Media is vere selective in what they choose to report, and fact is that the more blood = the more it sells, and as usual it's all about money ;)
I've been reading this book called "Nya Författarskolan" (New Writing School) where the author points out that usually authors in the 18th century used to let the wordly noblemen be the voice of reason in their works. In the 19th century that voice was a scientist. Today, it's either a child or a mental patient.... I wonder what that says about our society.

Q: Continue

I think we must go through everything in this world. If the most part of us are strong enough and stay True People everything will change to better. (I see some pure and strong people at UM ;) ) And I don't think it is bad (may be sometimes when I have a lack of vitamines ;)). Everything depends on us, folks. The most important thing the civilization keeps being alive - our belief. While we believe in smth we keep being People.
Um is a good provement of that the world is amazing thing :)

You?

I think that particularly DT part of it is such a proof.

OK, go on, people, the question is still the same. You?

A: Now it's coming into winter, I'll be too cold while I'm in my bedroom.

Q: What's the best score you've ever got on an exam that really meant something (i.e. preferably not a spelling test when you were 9)?

Oh yes. I suppose when Im in the middle I dont realise, but it does seem that usually Im too cold.
EDIT (oops)
A2: I got full marks for performing last year in my music A level. Funilly enough a third of that was my Dark Tranquillity performance. Hats of to Nik for writing what appears to be A grade stuff.

Q: What time does it get dark where ever it is you are?

A1: I aced an English test in 9th grade, and I've repeated that in upper secondary as well, just can't remember the exact year... got within 10 points of the maximum score on a Civics test (ideologies), got 180/185 on a Spanish test... And a lovely A on my Cambridge test, which was probably most fun
A2: Hmm... it's getting there around 5 or 6, I've never really looked at the time, heh.

Q: Is there a special character trait you find yourself appreciate in other people? ie not just "kindness", but something like their moral values or their ability to discuss Star Wars without laughing?

A: we should encourage him by foreseeing a lifetime of sexual pleasures for him if we want spike to pick a decent (and decent-sized) signature in the future.

Q: some people are poor and it's not their fault. in many places, the government or other institutions grant them the possibility to achieve things they wouldn't be able to afford. now, some people are ugly and it's not their fault. do you think they should be granted opportunities they couldn't afford as well? or are the two situations very different in your opinion? and why?

A: Different situations. The government should provide assistance to the poor for at least two reasons: when it is, in part, the government's fault that certain groups are poor (my examples here would be American-based, such as favoring racial groups over others); or, much more importantly, when the costs to government and society of allowing poverty outweigh the costs of alleviating it (i.e., racial discord, crime, violence, low-skilled/uneducated workforce). Governments aren't responsible for ugliness and they don't stand to gain much by alleviating it. :p

Q: Would you get plastic surgery? (has this already been asked? :erk: )

A: Despite not being the happiest person regarding how I look, I wouldn't have plastic surgery. However, I would accept the offer, then decide not to, get the refunded money, and spend it on something else.

Q: Is it naughty of me to have made such a fuss the first time Lina changed her avatar, but then barely noticed when she changed it back?
