A: The Holy Grail

Q: Do you use an alarm clock to wake up?

a: sort of. my mobile phone plays rammstein for me at a set time.

q: do you honestly believe that there exists a metal band which is on the whole (think complete discography) better than iron maiden? because i don't.

A: there definitely isn't. unless you consider skyclad just a metal band, and you stop keeping scores once martin walkyier left, which would be unfair towards maiden, who survived bruce's departure for a while. so no, there isn't one.

Q: other people's opinion on the matter?

Well, Virtual XI really sucked. When Two Worls Collide is the only good song. It actually confuses me that they managed to make the first album with Blaze a lot better than the second.
Otherwise Maiden's discography is really good...well, I still haven't heard Dance Of Death though.
Anyway, there's a few bands that I think are better than Maiden on the whole, but then Maiden has released twice as many albums as those bands.

For the sake of rahvin's mental balance (and my inability to come up with another question), what do you think?
Actually, if you feel like it, answer this question as well (or just this one, or not this one at all). What do you think about the movie A Beautiful Mind?

A: Iron Maiden are indeed the greatest band. Their live show is also easily the best I've seen, though that's not saying much since I haven't seen too many.

Q: And now we'll have Fourth's other question - what do you think of the film A Beautiful Mind?

A: I don't think it was Einstein's fault.

Q: Besides any Dark Tranquillity related arrivals for 2005, what other stuff are you excited about for 2005?

A: Starwars Episode III!

Q: You?

Well there's the Pain Of Salvation BE DVD, the new Strapping Young Lad, most likely the new The Devin Townsend Band album and DVD...hmm, Porcupine Tree will probably release the new one in 2005 as well, although I haven't read almost any news about it. I'm not really hyped about it, but I hope that Wilson will make a good album.
Would be nice if Ihsahn managed to scrap up his solo album (that he was at least talking about in interviews) in 2005.

What newspapers and magazines do you read?

A: Los Angeles Times online.

Q: What's your favorite Christmas song?

Far Beyond Metal. I'd probably change it to something else again the following day, but damn it that song puts a smile on my face every time. A metal parody just doesn't get much, possibly any, better. It might get funnier if the musical aspects are taken further to extremes, but it's the best song of that type that I've heard.

"Now in the halls of the Necro-Lord
Flash of fear when he sees my sword
I raped his women, smoked his bone
Leave a booger underneath his throne"

The ultimate metal verse. :tickled: Actually, some might see it as a Pantera tribute as well. Err, the nickname, not the song.

What do you think that Latin line in Child of Time's signature means?

a: "don't you know, my son, by/with how little prudence the world is ruled?" (or something to that effect). he probably thinks that he's going to rule the world more wisely. :p

q: when you were a teenager (or now, in case you are a teenager) did you use to expect a higher level of consistency from people and bands?

People, no. I don't think I knew what consistency meant. Bands, yeah, I expected them all to consist of a) Metallica b) Iron Maiden. Guess you could call that a level of higher consistency. Kinda hard for a band to break through. Thanks Pantera.

@Thanatos: :yell:
@hyena: Spoilsport.

What's so good about The Godfather?
