Next Testament CD

Iwould like to hear THE RITUAL re-recorded. Amazing song with one of the best Skolnick leads on the record. The yshould re-record the whole RITUAL album. I don´t like the production and the drums are sometimes to monoton/boring.

Hey mj777! I was just reading your flotsam post :)
I would love The Ritual re done with better drums.I'm still waiting for ms.a to ask Eric about the original version of that album which is supposed to be faster.

The Ritual's my favourite album. I'd love to hear a new version of the title track, but I'm guessing it'll be PWYP, as SoB's been re-recorded recently for Guitar Pro or something like that

They wouldn't re-redo Souls, so it's either PWYP or TR (if it has to be a "classic title track"). Given how many people dislike TR and how Testament's never playing it live, I'm guessing it'll be Practice (they wouldn't need to practice that song before hitting the studio, that's for sure). Amusingly, "The Legacy" could be deemed a title track as well, I doubt they'd do a ballad, though.

The Legacy isn't a title track though, because it's not on the album.

At least technically speaking.

Naturally, it was far-fetched on purpose. I was just trying to think of any more songs that could be the bonus track, in addition to the obvious 2 (or 4, although TNO and SoB are unlikely an option).

Anyway, I'm much more curious about the other bonus tracks, as we've all heard PWYP (which is a great song of course) so many times live that we probably won't hear anything new there (I wish I was wrong).

One of the covers they're doing is an Iron Maiden track, since Alex pretty much confirmed that.

the new album needs some promotion already! even if we have to wait until July i'd really like to hear "Native Blood" sometime in May, or see the artwork, or anything new at all... lol

Totally agree. After the success of TFOD the label is certain Testament's worth all the promotion money. To double the sales of its predecessor DROE needs good and well-thought promotion already. It had seemed it would be in store but with the release postponements due to "label schedule" I'm beginning to doubt we're in for a huge promotional campaign (videos before the album, tv and radio appearances, listening parties etc.)

That is a great DVD! I wish there was more backstage stuff though.
Hopefully Nuclear Blast is taking so long because the promotion is going to be so overwhelming that it has be gone over with a magnifier!

Luckily that's just April's Fools. By postponing the release yet again the label would lose its credibility. I doubt TestAmenT is behind the delay. They did their job and I can't imagine anyone inspiring them to correct what they've done, as it surely is a masterpiece.
