NFL 2010

It's probably a move the NFL will regret, but lately the NFL has been trying all sorts of new things to keep from being labeled as stale, and possibly increase market share.

Besides, there is a good possibility there will be no NFL by 2014 (say it ain't so).

Why would there be no NFL by 2014(beside some dumb people saying 2012 the end)?

The economy at it's current rate of disintegration will not be able to support professional sports. Unless they took major pay cuts anyway, which is unlikely.

There will be a NFL in 2014, there is no way a hold out will ever be that long. Someone will eventually give in tot he other side belief, there will be to much money and careers being lost.

I suppose its worth a try being it in a major hub like NY etc. I think the game itself and its fans could handle and somewhat enjoy a bad weather game if this were to happen? Keep in mind though if there is only one bad weather team (go Pats) involved, that is use to these conditions...your lookin at a homefield advantage in a way. IMO though, if you get hit with a blizzard...this logistically becomes a nightmare for the fans, sponsors, tourists and all the events and such leading up to the SB. Bottom line- the SB should continue to be played in a nice nuetral enjoyable warm weather climate etc.

Prof sports were not the massive, top heavy, three rings circuses they are today. Teams are in debt for new stadiums, players have contracts. They can't pay off the stadiums and pay the players without high priced merchandise and and high priced tickets, and if peple don't have the money for either, the system will definitely downsize or collapse.

"They were asking for it" :D

The NFL will be fine. It's the core/true blue-collar fans that are being extracted from the stadiums with these fucking PSL's

The stadiums will be full of corporate elites and wealthy tourists in no time.

I agree. NFL in most places crowd wise could be louder if they didn't have all the celbs and corporate people there. What best about NCAA football is that they have loud fans jumping up and down, singing their schools songs, going on to the field when they made a huge upseat over a top rank team.

For thoses that don't know what I'm talking about, here the schedule for my favorite team.
