NIN vs TOOL.

i would have to say that they are equal in their own traits, being to different kind of music tho.....but still having the same groundbreaking impact as each other.
TooL do have surreal and strangly binding lyrics that need deep thought to understand
while NIN have a dark sense of telling the truth about lifes aspects
In means of talent Maynard And Trent are equally matched
Maynard being political and Trent being dark and telling the truth bluntly
Whos Better?
A Hard Decision that i cannot make

I've loved Tool for quite a while now. NIN I used to like but I pulled out an album of theirs a while back and could not for the life of me remember what I saw in them. I promptly sold all NIN I owned. I think I got something good like Immolation with the money though. :)

Tool is far better- but I listen to NIN more, just becuase people I know for some reason, are in love with the Downward SPiral.

Broken by NIN is very good- and parts of The Downward Spiral- both the fragile and pretty hate machine are just bland, and the fragile is way overproduced. Still they are a decent listen, much better thann most popular bands- and chicks dig em.

Two awesome bands with abstract music and lyrics,

Who do you prefer and why?

No argument that there is a huge degree of talent in both bands.

Trent Reznor is a horseshit merchant. The best thing about Nine Inch Nails is that they helped the infinitely superior (to NIN anyway) Marilyn Manson to get massive - though the price was that fucking shitty 'Antichrist Superstar' album.

Er...I guess I'm going with Tool. :)

I'll go with NIN
Tool has never done anything for me,NIN doesn't now but for a while they were my favorite band.

I like both of them about the same but they both are severely overrated and very mainstream. Tool has an interesting atmosphere in the songs. NIN can get really boring and forumulatic but some of their heavyier songs like "We're In This Togather" is pretty intense.
