Now listening

Hey all, I'm not new to the forum, just new to posting.
Ed, I gotta tell you that it's a pleasure to see you on here as often as you are. I think it helps people like me to still feel like ENCHANT has a pulse and that there will be some new music in the not to distant future.
I to am a bass player and I respect what I've heard you do over the years with Enchant. I actually just went back last week and listened to the entire Enchant catalogue. What a great preformance on Progtology. You always had a real good bass sound but Dougs rhythm guitar sound seems to never match up. His lead and clean sounds are wonderful but I've never heard such a muddy rhythm sound.
My favorite Enchant CD is J9orD10. What an amazing CD. What to Say had me choked up from the very first time I heard it. Should've been a hit song and I hope one day it finds it's way into a movie sound track or something.
I also think that Foundations is amazing. That chorus line is unforgettable. Wish you guys got the recogition you deserve like DT.
Thanks for taking the time to read this as well a post.

Take Care and all the best!!!

Picked up a CD from an Austrian band called Serenity. CD is called Words Untold & Dreams Unlived.

It's pretty freakin' good. Kind of a mix between mid-tempo metal, a little Helloween, a bit of DT, some orchestration and the standard power-metal tenor singer (though in some parts he sounds a little like Klaus Meine).

Overall, they have a generic sound, but it actually sounds refreshing in the current prog-metal era of playing a fast as possible without regard for song structure and listenability.

I agree about What to Say as well, you would think someone somewhere would have wanted that for something, and other parts of our music for soundtracks or trailers.

Hey thanks for the props it is always nice man.

Also our sound live is very much differant when Ted is playing guitar or when the bass is alone with no R guitar, always my favorite :)

N.P: Transatlantic - All Of The Above

Even when I was listening to this Transatlantic jewel, I would like to recommend something to the fellow forumers. I strongly suggest to listen to this swedish band, Black Bonzo.

They do a delicious mixture of prog rock surrounded by an atmosphere from the seventies, the cover of the album says it all, influences from quite interesting bands (King Crimson, Kaipa, Queen, Purple...), and a goddamned good vocalist as well. So, take good note:

Black Bonzo .- "Lady Of The Light" (2005)

They offer some sound clips in their myspace site: http://www.myspace.com/blackbonzo

Now, you tell me what do you think, Ed ;)

I just gave "Time Lost" by our very own Enchant a well deserved spin last night after a long time of not listening to it at all. There's a lot of cool stuff on there that could have improved "Wounded" as an album if it had been included. I also like the out-of-the-vault stuff in the end... can be a little all over the place sometime, but the melodies and Paul's antics are off the charts.
